Weekend Stitching

I finished up my first strawberry emery last week, can't show it off though because it is for an exchange. I will show it off this next week I hope. Not perfect but not too bad either :)..

I also finished Ulla's RR for Witching for Stitching. I used Waxing Moon's Pumpkin and Bittersweet.

I also got started on part 2 of Blackbird Designs Mystery Sampler.

BBD Mystery Sampler Part 1 - done

YAYAYAY!! I got the first part finished this weekend.

Now today, I must meet with the consultants for my MM&I town and get ready to start that. I have a feeling I won't have the border done when everyone else starts but I will certainly try to be ready as possible :)...

Just Nan for Gaby

This is the pinkeep I made for Gaby for the MAW exchange. She wished for a Just Nan Pinkeeps so I made Winter in the Square into a pinkeep :)..

Some Thanksgiving stitching

I started Blackbird Designs 2008 Mystery Sampler on Thursday Evening. Here is where I am on Friday night. Didn't get to stitch as much as I would like, but hopefully will get more in this weekend. I am really enjoying stitching this design. I think I want to have a BBD always in my rotation next year.. :)..

Exchange to Amy

I was slow getting this to Amy but I did finally get it to her. It is stitched with Crescent Colours Belle Soie in Red fox, Expresso and Teddy Bear on 40 ct linen. The original designs was for a checkbook cover but I preferred it to be a needle book.

MAW from Gaby

I received the cutest Halloween pillow from Gaby. It is from the make a wish exchange. Gaby chose a German design so I would not have anything like it and I do not. I love the pillow and have put it in a place of honor on my stitching table.

F&S Round 10 received from Susan and a New project started

This is the very pretty Just Nan design I received from Susan P in the 10th round of Fair and Square. It is very pretty and the picture does not do it justice. Thank you so much Susan.

And of course since I didnt have enough WIPs already I thought I'd add a new one, this is Dragonflight by Enchanting Lair stitched on 32ct Frenzy Linen by Silkweaver.

Ackworth Exchanges finished

I finished the last two Ackworth Exchangers pieces this weekend. Now I have stitched on everyones.

All Seasons Ornament to Sharon

Sharon received my ornament last week but I forgot to post it here. It is from Waxing Moon's Autumn Minis. I stitched it on 40ct Newcastle and used Mill hill beads around the edge and to make the hanger.

Rosewood Manor Inspiration

I haven't been able to post much lately because I have been stitching for Exchanges. I decided to stitch a little for myself this weekend. I started working on Rosewood Manor's Inspiration again. I am working on page 2 of 30, LOL. Someday it will get done. It is stitched on 32ct Silkweaver Tawny Sparkle Belfast Linen with DMC.

Although I rarely talk about anything but stitching here

November Goals

I want to get all caught up with exchanges this month, so my goals are:

1. Finish Amy's exchange for 4 of us exchange
2. Friendship book pages for Sandy and Renee (the last two)
3. MAW for Gaby (stitched needs finishing)
4. MAW for Carol (a new finish type)
5. F&S #10 for Susan
6.Vicki's Birthday box

Then I want to start on my MM&I town :)... I don't know if I will have a WS this month, since things got a little out of sync with someone leaving the exchange, but hopefully if I do, I will be able to get right to work on it too. :);..

Witching for Stitching Carol's RR

I finished my checker house for Carol and it is now on it's way to Hannah. It is a Blackbird Design with a few changes :).. I hope she likes it..

When the weather starts

turning colder, I start thinking about my stitching and if I accomplished what I wanted to this year. Well, as far as WIP, no I didn't but I sure stitched a ton of exchanges. I have thought about next year already and what I want to do. I think i definitely will be stitching much more for me, although, I will not leave the All Season Ornament exchange, F&S, Halloween RR and Hooked on Exchanging I am certainly cutting way back :)...I still need my exchange fix :).

I think 2009 is gonna be my fantasy stitching year. I want to finish my Phantom of the Opera (Mirabilia's the kiss) and work some of the many fantasy pieces I have including some HAEDs. So now I need to work on all my exchanges and RRs and get them done and try to be all caught up by end of year:

I have stitched the ornie (need to finish), Gaby's MAW is stitched (need to make pinkeep), Carols halloween RR is almost done (will mail on Saturday), and the stitching on Amy's is 2/3 done. that just leaves MAW and F&S 10 to go from scratch and I know what I am doing for both :)..Not to bad. I have a three day weekend this weekend so I hope to finish the ornie and Gaby's MAW this weekend and get a good close to finish on amy's exchange (sorry Amy it is late :(.... I need to start going through my WIP and see how many are fantasy and what I am aiming to set as my goals, :)..

Replacement Stitching

I was on the list of replacement stitchers for F&S and Jen had not received her round 8 squares. She likes Bent Creek so I did these squares from the Autumn Snapperland set for her..The are stitched on 32ct Silkweaver Solo.

I received a couple wonderful Halloween Exchanges

My All Season Ornament exchange from Karen arrived and it is the wonderful "All Dressed up" blackbird from trix or Treats from Blackbird design and on the other side the black cat from the same book. It is trimmed in beads and hung by a beaded string. I love it.. First my Needle Nook Halloween Exchange from Christina. I love this design, you know me and dragons and the ornament is just wonderful. Thank you Christina. Then I also received my fair and squares from Mercy, aren't they cute. Thanks Mercy.

Halloween F&S to Mercy and MMI RR

Although I haven't heard from Mercy yet, I sent these squares priority early last week, so I am going to assume they are there. The design is Batty Hatty from Just Nan (or at least portions of Batty Hatty).

I also decided on my theme for my MM&I Neighborhood RR. It is going to be an imagination village or town. It will contain all kinds of things from imagination, dreams, fairy stories, etc. I will use my daycare kids as my inspiration, my nephew's and my rather vivid imaginations :)..

MAW for Lisa - Ruler Pocket

I was striving to make something different than all the regular stuff you get in the exchanges, so I decided I loved this bright little design from Blackbird designs and made it into a ruler pocket. it holds a 12" ruler for stitching.. She received it yesterday, so here it is.

Exchange to Rosalie

got lost in the mail. So as a replacement I did something different in hopes that the previous one might someday show up. Rosalie got it Friday. Sorry pictures are terrible had to use a different camera.

MAW Exchange from Karen

I received this gorgeous Dragonfly fob from Karen. It is so pretty and delicate. I love the colors and the back that says stitching friends. I decided it is too pretty to attach to a pair of scissors so I am going to hang it as an ornament on my ornament tree. Thank you so very much Karen, I love it. You did such a beautiful stitching job on it and I will treasure it.

HOE Needleroll to Carla

I stitched M Designs Little Pink houses as a needleroll for the Hooked on Exchanging Needleroll Exchange. It was stitched for Carla. I made a few exchanges and it is stitched on Enchanted Fabrics Evergreen..She received it Friday and says she likes it. I'm glad..

YAYAYAY! My goal was to get both of these done this weekend and I made it!!! Now on to a couple of exchanges I won't be able to post right away. I have to remake my exchange for Rosalie because the one I sent her was lost in the mail, so I need to resend :(....

I finished my piece for Amy's Book yesterday. Everyone is giving me stitching time this weekend so I can get caught up : )

Received a Gorgeous Needle Roll

from Jeanie at HOE. It is so pretty and she sent goodies along with it in the form of a really neat keychain from Singapore, pretty threads, ribbon, satin roses and some very pretty beads. I love the needleroll and package, thank you Jeanie!!

Here you go Edgar and I put three black chickens on it just for you.. I am sending them flying to their next stop today. The tree, pumpkins, and "chickens" are taken from Prairie Schoolers When Witches Go Riding. Now on to another RR. :)..Someday I will get caught up!!

Some stitching progress this

weekend. We took the weekend off from remodeling and I got some stitching done. I finished my needleroll for HOE and got to work on Edgar's RR. I kept trying to find the perfect design to go with his RR. I choose some elements from the new Prairie Schooler that are in keeping with the design. I hope he likes it. Here is a picture of the start..
