Iris Fairy Finally Finished

It has taken me longer than it should of to stitch Iris but a few flare ups and tons of beads slowed me down. I am ready to move on now.
She is stitched on 28ct Polstitches Colorful Clouds Jobelin

A Little More Stitching

It has been slow stitching lately but I have made headway.
First I made a little gift for my sister.  I stitched this Dragon Dreams freebie for my sister's 50th birthday.  It is going on top of a little junk box for her desk in her cubicle (tiny prison).
The second stitching I've been doing is Iris Fairy.  Got moving along on it but ran out of 501 and had to wait till I could get around to getting more.  Here she is so far.
So that is all for now.

Found WIP

We are moving around the rooms in the house and I found a WIP from several years ago that I lost during a previous move.  It is Mirabilia the Kiss but I changed the male in the picture to reflect the Phantom of the Opera.  I covered 1/2 his face with the mask and changed his hair to completely black/dark dark brown.  I am so happy to find this.  Maybe I can get it done in this year

Iris Fairy - Getting so Close

Joan Elliott's Iris Fairy is getting so close to done, I can taste it.  It is the first of her fairies I have tried.  I did do her Make a Wish Dragaon.  The pieces have beautiful shading and lots of bling.  The Iris petals are surrounded in Balger to really make them stand out.  So here she is.  If the "parkies" cooperate I can maybe get her done by the end of next weekend.

Finally another finish

This is an old WIP.  I didn't think I would ever get it done.  The fabric is some Dying4U that I still had.  It has been a long long time since they sold fabric.  So here it is

Lanarte: Elements Water (first 10 hour rotation)

Absolute worst picture ever.  It looks like the fabric has colors but it is white.

I got a slow start but hopefully my fingers are remembering how to stitch LOL....

Well on to my next rotation project.

Here it is in all it's finished glory.  I am so glad to finally finish something.  Next will be Joan Elliott's Iris Fairy.   Eclipse is stitched on 28ct Jobelan Polstitches Rustic Rhubarb.

Another Rotation on Bluebell

Well Here is Bluebell as of 2/20/2013.   She is slowly getting there.

February 15, 2013

YEAH! A WIP out of the Stack

I finished Dog Lessons for People by Lizzie Kate today.  This one has been sitting for quite awhile.  I had finished Cat Lessons for People and started the Dog one and then kinda got bored and moved on.  So after I got back on rotation so I could finish some WIPs that were floating around here it is finished... I am soooooo happy.   Here it is.
I can now frame it and this
and neither the cats or dogs can be jealous since they will both have their own pictures up.  Now it is time to go back to Blueberry again.  I caved in today and ordered the new Mermaid from Mirabilia, even though I haven't gotten brave enough to do a Mira Mermaid yet, LOL.

Bluebell Rotation 2/8/2012

Here is the picture for this round of Bluebell
The date on her is wrong, lol.  Guess I need to set the camera.  On to Dog Lessons for People now.

January 30, 2013

Eclipse - Fire Wing

This rotation was all about dragons, well and eclipses.  It was Fire Wings Eclipse.  Stitched on 28ct Rustic Rhubarb from Polstitches.  I am going to finish it this year.
Now back to Ms. Bluebell.

January 25, 2013

Bluebell 2nd Rotation 1.25.13

I ran out of Kreinik 1432 so did not get the wing finished on Bluebell this round.  I have some ordered in so hopefully the next round she will have a finished wing :).
The Wings are beautiful but working with all that metallic thread is a pain you know where.  So my next project in rotation will be Fire Wing Eclipse.

January 19, 2013

Pirate Queen

Here is Pirate Queen by Dark Side of the Moon after her rotation.  She is stitched on 28ct Polstitches Big Bang Jobelan.  Now I go back to Nora Corbett's Bluebell.

January 14, 2013

2nd Rotation on Bluebell

So here is the second 10 hours on Bluebell.  I like to bead as I go, I just can't face all that beading at the end, I would probably never finished if I did that.
Next ten hour rotation is Pirate Queen by Dark Side of the Moon..

January 12, 2013

Jardin d'jour WIP

I got a little work done on my Jardin d'Jour from Needlemania.  It is stitched on a fabric by Dyeing4U which unfortunately is no longer around.

It is approximately 1/2 done.

Now it is back to Bluebell.

January 7, 2013

Nora Corbett Bluebell

This is my first weekend on Bluebell.  She is stitched on Polstitches Snowstorm 28ct evenweave.  It isn't as dark as it appears in this picture.

WIPs I Hope to Finish This year

I am in a group that plan to work on WIPs that have been sitting around this year.  This are not all seriously old ones but ones I do really want to finish.  I will sandwich them in with new ones I want to do and try to finish all of these this year.  Here is where I am on them now.
 Dog Lessons by Lizzie Kate
Pirate Queen by Dark Side of the Moon
 Eclipse by Fire Wing
 Egypt Garden by Chatelaine
 Inspiration by Rosewood Manor
 Iris Fairy by Joan Elliot
Pansy by Nora Corbett/Mirabilia
Jardin d'Jour by Ink Circles

There are more WIPS in my life but these are the ones I want to get done the most.  So I have some new ones I want to start and I will be working in rotation but these will be added in to finish this year.  I will have some pictures of Bluebell by Mirabilia for tomorrows blog post, I didn't get much done on her the last two day.s

A New Year - A New Start

Okay, so I fell off the edge of the world toward the end of the year.  I got little done and a lot of nothing accomplished, just mostly feeling sorry for myself I guess.  Anyway, I am ready to go.

There is going to be a new baby arriving in the family in March, I will be a great aunt again for the 9th time.  I crocheted a little swaddler bag and hat for her this weekend.  Here is a picture.

I now belong to a group that is doing a SAL on Bluebell by Nora Corbett so I started her yesterday not enough to show any of it yet, hopefully tomorrow.  I also am in another group to help get WIPs done, so I have been rounding all my projects that are WIP as of 1/1/13 and am going to work them into a rotation with Bluebell and a couple others.  The other thing I am going to start it a pair of birds I got from Chatelaine.  Vicki and I are going to do them, I do the first, here the second release, back and forth.  When done we will put them together and make a quilt or wall hanging, not sure which.  I signed up for the Chatelaine Dragonfly Mandala, but I wont be starting it anytime soon, but it was just too pretty to pass up.  My stitching is slower these days but I hope to get to work now..

So here is to seeing more of you here :)..  And Happy New Year.

Jardin d' Jour by Needlemania

after the first rotation of 10 hours (it was a WIP from last year, you can see where I started in previous post).  Not too bad if I may say so myself :).

Now back to Iris Fairy, then this one again, and then I will add my Pirate Queen to the rotation.  I will continue that way, adding one after each completed rotation, until I feek like enough are added.  As I finish one I will replace that one with another similar project.  Hope this works..

Progress

Ended this rotation on Iris Fairy and she now has at least one leg
now I am going to work 10 hours on Needlemania Jardin d' Jour.  This one has been in my WIP for awhile.  I have almost a quarter of it done.  I am going to put 10 hours in on it and then go back to Iris.  Then back to Jardin and then add a project and through the cycle adding one each time, until I feel that it it enough.  I am going to try to mix my rotation up with many different types of stitching since I like all kinds.
So anyway here is where I currently am on Jardin d'Jour.

Time to Start a Rotation

I think I am about ready to start a new rotation.  I have been doing one at a time and now have found I am slowing down even more on my stitching.  I think I am getting my stitchers lull on the one I am stitching even though I love it and can't wait to see it finished. (gosh, I have a short attention span).  So I think I am going to do my 10 hour rotation again and use the following designs in it.  Some of these have been started or are (dare I say it (UFOs)).

Iris Fairy by Joan Elliott
Egyptian Mandela by Chatelaine
Pirate Queen - Dark Side of the Moon
Eclipse - Fire Wing
Casting A Spell - Blackbird Design
Pansy - Nora Corbett
Knitting Cat - Filagram
Jardin d' Jour by Inkworks
Fairy of Dreams by Mirabilia
Rede by Sisterhood

I thought I would work on these first, some are gifts so working them in the rotation.  Not necessarily in the order shown.  Well now I need to make sure I have all the extras I need, I think I do.  So i start today.

A Little Bit of Our Gallery

My Sister and I have been Stitching for about 30 years each.  This is a little bit of our Gallery, this is just what is in our living area.  I am afraid we frame our own.  I would love to have everything professionally framed but it is not in the budget.  This is by no means anywhere near all the stitching after all those years, but we don't have enough walls, lol..

August 18, 2012

Well after 16 1/2 years, today I was sorta retired from being a daycare provider. In january they fugured out I had some sorta severe sleep apnea, fibromyalgia and I'll be darned all that hand trembling, word forgetting, stuttering and sometimes shuffling turned out to be Parkinson's. Well it took Ss awhile but they decided to put me out to disability pasture. The medications are starting to give me periods of shake relief though and definitely help the thought processes and walk a lot. Still tired a lot but i actually think i may be able to do some stitching again. All i do for daycare now is put kids on buses in the am and fill in on days school maybe closed and only older children. So Here is here is to the hope I am able to post more often.

More Iris Done

A Little More Joan Elliott Iris Is Finished This Week.  I love sniffing the Polstitches Fabric as I stitch.  I love Joan's designs they are so detailed and are turning out so pretty.
I also started the Mirabilia Pixie Pansy design.  I hope to do my the walls in my bedroom in flower type fairies. The design is stitched on Polstitches Wisteria.  I see a fabric pattern evolving.  Yes I am now totally hooked on her fabric.  I can't help me self I am addicted, help me, no wait don't help me...lol..\
I know not much, but at least something.
Happy 4th everyone.

Sorry Been Away Awhile

Had to Break in some new medications, oh joy, with that brought new complications, lol.  But I seem to be moving back to square one again.  So I have tried to get back to stitching.

Here is where I am on my Joan Elliott Iris Fairy.  I have a tendency to be kinda slow and easily distracted these days but I did get some stitching done.
Hopefully I can get a little more focused this week.

Another Dragon Added to Eclipse

Yep here we go.  A second dragon added to Fire Wing Eclipse, but I did figure out I was short on Midnight Gentle Arts so will need to order more.  Those wings take forever.  So here we go..
they are stitched on Polstitches Rustic Rhubarb Jobelan.

Now on to Joan Elliott's Iris Fairy stitched on Colorful Clouds.

TigerLily Happy Dance

Hurrah!!!  I found that beading with shakey hands sucks, it took a lot longer than planned but my first finish with my "new" stitching mode, lol. Here she is!!

Thanks for looking.  I have now finished a Passione Ricamo and a Mirabilia.  I want to finish a Joan Elliott, a Dark side of the Moon and a Fire Wing.  Hmmm, decisions.

Tigerlily 4/1/12

I had a long weekend and was able to stitch.  I am learning how to stitch between shakey periods.  I've learned how the medications take hold and how long it takes them to be effective and how long it lasts.  I work during good times and lay off during bad so it isn't frustrating and I can get more done.  Sometimes I need help threading needles since the shake never goes away completely but during good times I can concentrate for a little longer time when them meds kick in.  When they aren't it is like having  ADD, lol.  So enough whinning basically I am getting a handle on it.  And here is what I accomplished.

Going to change charts now and do another in rotation.  Either the Fire Wing Eclipse or the Jardin D'Jour I started last year by Needlemania.

Have a Great Week.

March 28, 2012

Nora Corbett Tigerlily

I had a great not too shakey couple of days so I could get some stitching done.
I worked on Tigerlily on 28ct polstitches Toffee Popsicle Opal.  I love this fabric.  So here is where I started.
and here is where I am now.

(excuse the bad pic)

Thanks for stopping by!
