I had to take some time off from stitching because of some wrist problems, but since time off didn't make any difference...I AM BACK.

Nora Corbett Tigerlily
I received my final gift from my secret sister this week and I feel in love with it. Cerys sent me the Nora Corbett design Tigerlily and the beads and kreinik that goes with her. I had some Toffee Popsicle Polstitches 32ct opalescent belfast. I decided it was perfect for her and slipped her in as the next one in my rotation (I have no willpower, LOL).. So here is her first ten hours, now back to Pirate Queen. I was amazed how quickly she is stitching up.

DSotM Pirate Queen
So this weekend I got 3 or 4 hours of stitching in and my Pirate Queen now has a face. I am not completely happy with it, but for now I will leave her alone and go on. I am almost done with this rotaton on her and then on to JE Spring Fairy.
Here she is so far. Please excuse the picture, it was taken with my cell, can't figure out where our camera is this morning.

Okay, I finished a biggie and was thinking about my rotation. Then I sidetracked to thinking about what I would like to stitch sitting there in my stash. WooooooHOOOOOOOOOOO Happy Dance!!!!!!
Morning Fae is done!!! The only thing not stitched on her is the mountain to her back because our four Shih Tzu's played tug of war with that part of the pattern. I am sooooo Happy. I love the bling and the detail on her!!
I am so happy to finish and ready to get going on to my rotation now. I will start working on my Pirate Queen next for at least 10 hours!
So here she is. Stitched on 32ct Jobelan from Silkweaver. I cried when I finished. She is the first fantasy lady I have ever finished and she will not be my last.

Starting the Weekend here 8.5.11
This is where I am starting Morning Fae this weekend. I am getting so close I can taste it :).. I am hopeful I can finish her this weekend. If not, be extremely close (there are a ton of beads on this part of the skirt). So here is where I start the weekend.

Last day of July Update
on Miss Morning Fae. Wow, I can almost see an end in sight. My only problem is my chart came apart and I have everything to finish the skirt and the grass around her but the part of the chart for the mountains behind her is lost. So I guess she will end up not having the mountains to her back. I am such a dork, lol. Well here is what is done.

Morning Fae
I thought I would never get done with the beads on this section, lol. I hate them but it is worth it. This weekend I finished out that one skirt section with beads and finishing flowers and silver lace. Just two more sections on the dress and then I will be almost done. Hopefully soon.
I have a few days off and the end of the week so I hope to get a lot done :). I am ready to get her finished....I love her, but the blue is a lot.

Pirate Queen's Hat
Well the ten hour rotation on DSOTM Pirate Queen is done and I finished her hat :)..Now I will put 5 hours into Morning Fae and then back to Pirate Queen. I am going to be spending the weekend staying with my mom while she recoups from hip surgery on Thursday so hopefully I will have time to stitch this weekend.
Here she is.

Started New Rotation
Here is a start on Pirate Queen by Dark Side of the Moon. She is stitched on Polstitches Big Bang Jobelan. The fabric is so soft and pretty and smells yummy, lol. I wish the picture did it justice. I will work about 10 hours on this one and then go back to Morning Fae for 5 and back to Pirate queen, etc and keep adding to my rotation.

So Stalled..
I have really got into a rut and not stitching much. I decided it is definitely time to get into a rotation to get myself moving. So, here is a picture of Morning Fae as of now, not a lot of progress
My rotation will include:
Pirate Queen by Dark Side of the Moon
Spring Fairy by Joan Elliott (thank you secret sister)
Fancy Fairy by Joan Elliott
Pansy by Nora Corbett
Rose Goddess by Joan Elliott
Sweet Pea by Nora Corbet
September Sapphire Fairy
Eclipse by Fire Wing Designs
Bluebell by Nora Corbett
Inspiration by Rosewood Manor (1/3 to 1/2 done)
Now to figure out how long on each, I am going to do Mornng Fae, then another, then back to Morning Fae, then another..etc. Hopefully that will work.

My New Start
Yesterday was the Joan Elliott SAL on the Fantasy Blog. So my project was Iris Fairy by Joan Elliott. I got part of an Iris on the piece started. She is stitched on 28ct Polstitches Colorful Clouds Jobelan (I am falling in love with Polstitches fabric). Now back to the Morning Fae.

Frogs, Frogs and More frogs
Every have one of those stitching weekends. I figured out I had added one too many stitches to my dark blue section of the skirt on Morning Fae, so I tore the whole thing out. Then after completely restitching, and I though counting carefully, figured out I skipped a stitch. So once again tore everything out, ugh. Third time a charm and it is stitched and that blue section is competely stitched including PTB, thank goodness. So while it doesn't look like I made much progress I certainly did a lot of stitching this weekend, LOL.

A Little Bit More
I think I need a motivational kick in the seat. I have slowed down dramatically on Morning Fae. I need to focus up and get on it.. Here is what I accomplished this weekend. I do believe I need to go back to rotation, so I don't get myself bogged down. I have a form of stitchers ADD, I believe.

For Fantasy Lovers
I started a new Blog about fantasy cross stitch. I hope you will all join in and post your wonderful designs and works in progress. We can all encourage each other to get it done. Some of those designs require lots of encouragement . So here you go.
Everyone have a great day.

Wow this skirt is busy
I can't believe how much detail is in this design. Hats off to Passione Ricamo for having some of the most detailed work I have done. (although I have to say the Castle by Teresa Wentzler definitely beat it in detail, LOL). I got another section of the skirt done and spent most of Sunday just backstitching leaves on the skirt and adding the beads, just to one section. So onward to the next section. Here she is.
and here is the project I will start next. Iris Fairy by Joan Elliott.
Can't wait to start her.
Everyone have a fantastic week!!!!

Ok, who took away all the hours
in my weekend. I didn't have as much stitching time as I wished for. But I did get some more of the skirt done and was able to see what the bottom of the dress is going to look like, I wish you could see the sparkly kind of lace at the bottom of the dress but it just doesn't show up in a picture.
So as of 5/2/11, here is Morning Fae..
Have a Fantastic week everyone, hopefully I will have some good updates to show this week..

A Little Landscaping
I haven't been able to stitch as much lately but I did manage to get a little landscaping done on Morning Fae. It is my hope that this weekend I can make great strides on her dress and maybe even finish her next week. That might be a little ambitious but it is my hope. So here she is
Have a Great Weekend!

Morning Fae has Legs
Okay, been a little slow getting her done this week, been crazy, but back to stitching big time. I actually think I got a mental block about doing those legs, I am not big on working in skin tones. But I just spotted my next project, The Iris Fairy by Joan Elliott in Cross Stitch Collection Magazine (UK) and when I know I want to start another project it is time to get moving, LOL.
So Morning Fae by Passione Ricamo as of 4/14/11.

March 29, some more a little closer
there are so many beads on this thing I decided not to wait till the end to do them all. You put mill hill 2010 and 2026 together and then randomly pull out the beads. Makes each one a little different. Here she is so far. Passione Ricamo Morning Fae (up close and a little blurry, lol).

Weekend Stitching
Well here she is after a weekend of stitching. I wish I had got more done, but while playing chef I tried to cut off the end of my finger so it slowed my stitching down, Lol. Here she is as of last night

A Giveaway
Okay, we all know I love fantasy, so I am hooked on Joan Elliott and have been buying the Cross Stitch Collection Magazines from ebay, etc to get the flower fairy series. Anyway I got #195 and it had a freebie celebrating the coming Royal wedding which is a very large chart. I am not into this type of design, but I know a lot of people collect royal memoriabilia, etc., and thought maybe someone might want this. Here it is:
So just post if you want it. If more than one person wants it I will do a drawing and post a winner on Sunday.
Have a GREAT WEEKEND and get lots of stitching done!!

Morning Fae 3/14/11 - Wings finished Hair Started
Yay on Wings...My mom and sister keep telling me I have to have this done by end of March. I don't think so, LOL.. But here are the wings and the very tiny bit of her hair.
I love the colors and the Silkweaver solo is turning out to be perfect for the design, I was a little worried at first.

Here is My Morning Fae as of 3/7/11
I actually got this far on Thursday night but then had to quit. My stomach flu turned out to be appendicitis so I have a little overnight stay and appendix removal on Friday night. Ah the fun I have had since I turned 50...LOL..
I had to tear out some of the bottom of the wing due to a counting problem when I wasn't feeling well but I love this wing, can't wait to get all the new colors in..

So I started Morning Fae by Passione Ricamo (man is that a huge chart, LOL). It is going fairly quickly considering how limited by stitching time was this week. I will have a lot more time to stitch later this week :)..
